Rod Medel, CPA
Rod Medel,  CPA

Mr. Rodolfo Medel was born in Mexico City where he obtained his CPA degree graduating summa cum laude from the prestigious Technological and Autonomous Institute of Mexico (ITAM). He was also recognized with the PriceWaterhouseCoopers Honor Student Award.

His professional career in Mexico included working with the Tax Practice at the worldwide accounting firm KPMG, the government regulatory accounting group at JP Morgan Bank and the corporate tax department of Cargill.

Back in August of 2000 he was transferred to join the Cargill’s worldwide tax department at its Wayzata global headquarters. His primary responsibilities were to respond to a wide variety of international and domestic audit requests from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and to assist with the U.S. tax compliance of some Cargill companies located in Mexico and Venezuela.

Mr. Medel remained with Cargill until August 2005 when he joined Core Tax Services as a manager within the Firm’s small business practice. He became a certified tax preparer for businesses and individuals and also a Quickbooks pro advisor.

In August 2010, Mr. Medel became partner and Business Director of the Firm and effective January 1, 2011 he will become Co-President with the current managing partner Mr. Rodolfo G. Trujillo, E.A.

Mr. Medel has represented businesses and individuals on audits from the MN Revenue and he is currently working on his certification as an enrolled agent with the IRS.

Taxes are not an easy thing especially when you have not been the primarily responsible to work with an Accountant or a tax preparer in the past. Let me assure that you do not have to struggle with this annual government requirement going forward. As part of the Transition Care Team, Rod Medel can have a one-to-one tax consultation with you to explain your current tax situation and also to assist you with the preparation of your personal and/or business federal and state tax returns when the time comes. Do not let the taxes overwhelm you, allow Rod to be your guide and work for you. Please visit Rod Medel's web page:
